What if I can't remember anything and its all one big blur ?
A: Welcome to the club. The two most important things when posting are picking the right forums
and your subject line. If your history fits more than one forum, break your message and stories accordingly, and post individually in each appropriate forum.

What is a thread and what does subscribing to one do ?
A: A thread is a string of messages from people with a common interest.
Subscribing to a thread allows you to be notified any time there is a new post or reply.

How can I show my pictures ?
A: Your pictures need to have a URL (uploaded to the internet) using your ISP. Then click the image button at the top of the message area and type in the address being with http://www. Another way would be to simply add a link to them in the message area by typing www.where_your_pics_are.com.
4.) Can I clog up the boards with posts looking for an individual or vets who knew him ?
A: No. Please use VRC's search engine for this. If you are a friend or relative, you're welcome to enter their information as they would have and use the message box there to do this (include DOD and your relationship). That is the most effective and efficient approach and... one of the main reasons VRC was born. By adhering to this, the boards will remain interesting and not cluttered up with " needle in the hay stack " postings that will likely bore most... Volunteer Moderators to help enforce this wanted !

5.) What if I am still in the Service ? Can I post pictures, messages or stories ?
A: Yes. Anyone that is or will become a veteran has posting permissions and privileges.

How can I change, delete or correct my message or story ?
A: You can't. That is why it is important the review your post and use the spell checker before submitting.
If it is a major screw up like a duplicate posting or in the wrong category or forum...email us.
7.) Can I post our upcoming reunions ?
A: Absolutely ! At the beginning of every board there is a category called Reunions.
Here you can post all relevant information, who it includes, when, where ,how many days, etc...
The most important part is choosing the right keywords for the subject. Why ?...as these boards
grow, most will use the search feature that these boards have as apposed to scanning all of the postings.
8.) What do the stars ( ** )
after a veteran's or organization's name mean ?
A: It is way to designate their level of Sponsorship. They are helping to keep VRC free and alive !! Names without stars that could afford to chip in are simply not doing their share and that's pretty tired...
These Boards, the logical Search Engines, the Picture Gallery, HEROES and everything will turn
" into a Pumpkin without you and your support... and that's a fact... Jack ! "
